Aloha! Happy Monday😌 I know. Mondays can be rough. So, let me lift your sprits up with this AMAZING recipe…. – Mochiko Chicken! If you think this is just the regular fried chicken, you’re mistaken. Im not going to say it’s healthy because it’s absolutely …
This is not a regular macaroni salad, it’s a cool macaroni salad!
If you look at the recipe, you’d be surprise how simple this salad is. You would also be surprised how tasty it is. Aaaand, you’d be shocked to know how much mayonnaise you’d be using😂.
Macaroni salad is a classic BBQ, pot-luck, get-together staple! In Hawaii, we call it mac salad, and it’s in almost every plate lunch. It’s so creamy and flavorful, I promise you y’all will love it.
To make this deliciousness, you’ll need: elbow macaroni pasta, mayonnaise, potatoes, eggs, salt & pepper, garlic powder. THAT’S IT!
Just because it’s Hawaiian, don’t even try to add pineapples in it😬. That’ s only for pizza. Really. No. Pineapple. lol
You could add some carrots/cabbage/onions though, the key is to keep it very very simple. Don’t do anything fancy. Don’t be bougie.
In cooking, a lot of people think that adding more stuff would make the food taste better. But, that’s not necessarily true. I think that goes the same with humans, too, right? Even if you buy more things and surround yourself with fancy people, that doesn’t mean that you’d be happy. That doesn’t mean that you’d achieve well-being. It’s good to be an authentic self, and that’s something that would help you develop meaningful encounters and a more wholesome life. There’s a study that speaks on this point. They found that high income is not correlated with happiness, meaning that having high income does not necessarily make people happy even though their thoughts about their life says otherwise (Kahneman and Deaton, 2010). People would always seek more and better.
So, please. I think I made my point very clear. Keep this mac salad very simple.
